The e-portfolio requirement tasked us to go about and do numerous grammar related activities with the goal of improving our grammar skills and sensibilities. Week after week, I read articles all over the internet ranging from doomsday black holes to superheroes in tights. It was a refreshing take on what I deemed as a chore back in high school. After every essay, I wrote down my reactions to what I just read and I noticed that it practices me in developing my grammar skills once I interact with people. I like that my English proficiency is being improved by a task I normally do, read articles online. Accomplishing the e-portfolio was no easy feat as it required so much time and effort to make. I go on late nights to plan, read, and fix my compilation with the high hopes of it getting high marks. I could say that I have accomplished the tasks that was required for me to do.
I am most proud of the work I gave to my e-portfolio. I believe it is a nice collection of my work and topics with a range of variety. I contributed much of my time making it and I have certainly learned many things especially as a business student and how I can use English professionally.
It did expose my weakness that I am a slow writer but a fast reader. I can’t count how many articles I’ve read but when it comes to writing down material, it takes me hours. It is something I’ve been trying to improve on in ENGLCOM, and with a better understanding in grammar, I hope that it changed. This is certainly a fundamental factor as this is used in a range of activities. With the term ending, I take with me these lessons and experiences for my betterment to reach my goal of a realized Business Person that is proficient in English.
